The Promoboxx team continues to grow! We’d like you to meet our new Brand Account Specialist, Elliot Dix. We are so excited to welcome Elliot to our team, and to get to know him better, we asked him a few questions. Check out the answers below!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Newton, MA (about 20 minutes outside of Boston). I attended UConn for four years and earned a degree in Communications & Business.
I have worked numerous jobs since I was in high school, but most recently completed an internship at SHIFT Communications, a marketing and public relations firm.
What made you want to join the Promoboxx team?
Throughout college, I knew I wanted to end up working in marketing and/or communications (broad, I know) post-graduation. In addition, I had a passion for start-ups and concentrated my business minor in entrepreneurship. Promoboxx ended up being a perfect blend of my interests, and I jumped at the opportunity to get involved.
What’s your favorite independent business in Boston?
Salumeria Italiana in the North End is a personal favorite thanks to my roots – it has imported Italian goods and an unforgettable atmosphere.
Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy playing sports (mainly football and baseball) and going to concerts – anything from electronic to rap to country.
Best book you’ve ever read?
I’m a big fan of the Game of Thrones series – I’ve read all of the books and can’t pick a favorite. Waiting on the new one!
What do you admire most in a brand?
I admire brands that consistently push the status quo and don’t shy away from unique ideas.
What is one of your favorite things to do in Boston?
There’s nothing like a night game at Fenway, especially against a divisional rival and/or playoff competitor.
